Reprieve! I know I'm going to jinx it, but we've had fabulous weather these past few days, and I felt obligated to turn on the oven while I could. Last night I made toffee nut squares, using a recipe from Carole Walters. I used big chips instead of regular ones and pecans instead of walnuts, but I heard no complaints. We also didn't wait the full hour after baking before slicing. Warm with a big glass of milk? Oh absolutely!
