It's rainy ... cool ... why not do some baking? Chocolate-chocolate chip cookies and moist cornbread muffins. The cornbread is for some chili I'm planning to make this weekend, and the cookies will replace some that disappeared from the freezer. And not by me. Ahem. Both recipes are from the fabulous Dorie Greenspan.

you have to do it right though, one bite of cookie, one bite of cornbread, let the flavors take you to a semi-nirvanic state of bliss.

You forgot to mention the coffee (no buttermilk, though)!
And since someone left the cookies behind, maybe I'll just have some cookies and cornbread now. Yum.
