Can you smell it?
I have a chicken roasting in the oven, and the whole house smells wonderful. The chicken is sitting on a bed of itty, bitty red potatoes and shallots. I drizzled it with olive oil, filled the cavity with fresh sage, and then spread a mixture of mustard, dry sherry, rosemary salt, more chopped sage, and lavender honey over the top, letting it ooze down the sides as it cooks. I have newly picked baby lettuces, plum tomatoes, and raw feta from the farmer's market for my salad, and there's a tin full of oatmeal-chocolate chunk cookies, filled with pecans and dried cherries, waiting for me for dessert.
